Dr. Carolyn
McAloon received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California,
Berkeley in 1991. She then graduated from the California College of
Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and completed residency at the VA Palo
Alto Health Care System.

After completing her surgical training, Dr. McAloon came to Castro Valley
where she has been in private practice since 1999. Dr. McAloon lives in the
East Bay with her husband, Michael Smith and their children, Andrew and
Megan.
Dr. McAloon is Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric
Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons
(www.acfas.org).
Dr. McAloon is very active in her profession and has held leadership
positions with the Alameda Contra Costa Podiatric Medical Society, the
California Podiatric Medical Association (www.podiatrists.org), the American
Association for Women Podiatrists and the California School of Podiatric
Medicine Alumni and Associates. She was named one of "America's Top
Podiatrists" in 2006 by the Consumer Research Council of America. |
