Dr. Carolyn McAloon completed her pre-med requirements and received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. She obtained her professional degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and went on to complete her residency training at VA Palo Alto Health Care System.
Upon completing her surgical training, Dr. McAloon came to Castro Valley where she has been in private practice since 1999. The practice expanded to Dublin in 2008 and Dr. McAloon also has office hours in this location.
Dr. McAloon is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Training the next generation of podiatrists is important to Dr. McAloon. She is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
Dr. McAloon is very active in her specialty. She served as President of the California Podiatric Medical Association for the 2013-2014 term. She is a spokesperson for the American Podiatric Medical Association and is frequently sought out by the media for articles and programs pertaining to foot health and well being.
